UTTOP Welcomes Patrice Parayre from Cégep de Sherbrooke for a Two-Week Visit
From June 2, 2025 to June 12, 2025

UTTOP is currently hosting Patrice PARAYRE, a teacher-researcher from Cégep Sherbrooke in Quebec, for a two-week academic visit. His initial objective was to formalize a cooperation agreement with the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (GMP). However, as discussions progressed, new perspectives emerged, revealing potential synergies well beyond the scope of the GMP department alone.
The richness of the exchanges between Mr. Parayre and the academic teams of the IUT has led to the identification of common interests with other departments within the institute. This promising development paves the way for broader collaboration, including joint pedagogical projects, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and student mobility opportunities.
This partnership is already taking shape in tangible ways: in September 2025, three GMP students from the IUT will travel to Sherbrooke to join the Mechanical Engineering Technology program, while three Quebec students will be welcomed in Tarbes to undertake training within the GMP department.
This international initiative promises to strengthen the ties between the two institutions and to enrich the academic experiences of students on both sides of the Atlantic.
